Reliable calendar feeds across time zones and daylight saving

On-Call Optimizer’s exported ICS calendar feeds now use standard IANA time zone identifiers (for example Europe/London) and include complete daylight-saving information for every event. Calendar clients such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook now display shift times correctly all year round — including on and around daylight-saving transition days — resolving cases where events could appear an hour off.

Bugfixes and minor changes

  • Pagerduty schedules with unusual rotation lengths are now correctly imported rather than being silently skipped.
  • Fixed a calendar display bug where days with many events could render events outside their cell, show overlapping “show more” links, or report an incorrect hidden-event count; busy days now lay out correctly and the “N more” count is accurate.
  • Custom assignment preference weights can now be set to 0 to disable an individual rule, matching what the interface already indicated; saving such a configuration no longer fails, while at least one rule must still carry a non-zero weight.
  • Schedule viewers are now permitted to see and copy the ICS calendar feed URL associated with a schedule. Enabling, disabling or regenerating the ICS URL for a schedule remains limited to members with edit permission.
