Hi, I'm Matt, founder of On-Call Optimizer.
In this video, I'm going to show you where admin-focused actions live in the new interface, the simplicity of the new schedule creation flow, and how templates add flexibility to the configuration of your schedules.
Organization settings are now found under your organization's name, at the left of the navigation bar.
Members, roles, on-call products and messaging connections each have their own tab, gathering what was previously scattered into one place.
All organization members can see this section, but only organization admins can change members' roles. And unless you give members the permissions to manage integrations, only the admins can manage the on-call product and messaging connections.
The new schedule creation flow presents the existing options for creating a schedule in one unified view alongside the newly available template option.
Choosing a template is the quickest way to get started with one of our curated shift patterns.
Alternatively, you can copy an existing schedule's shift patterns and members from an on-call product, or choose the fully manual approach.
Whichever way you go, you'll be guided through the necessary steps, and you can use the progress strip to go back, or to customize a step pre-populated from a template or an existing schedule.
Before you know it, you'll see a summary of the new schedule and you're ready to go.
All schedules are now migrated to use configuration templates.
The active template sets the configuration used by scheduled assignments.
You can keep other templates ready, perhaps for a launch-week schedule, and switch which one is active as required, or use one for a custom assignment without changing the active template at all.
Schedule-wide settings, including associated schedules, are shown at the bottom of the tab.
Open a template to view or edit its shifts, members and settings, including assignment preferences like the horizon and window, which control when scheduled assignments run and how far ahead they assign.
